What is the DTEA?
The DTEA is an alliance of 14 national associations working in drama and theatre for, with and by children and young people, plus several additional networks and organisations supporting artists teachers and schools. What is SeizeTheDay?
Launched in 2022, the SeizeTheDay campaign aims to raise the profile of drama in schools and of theatre for young audiences.
It connects those who influence what is taught in schools, where budgets are spent, and the shows which are produced with those who benefit the most: children and young people.
We ask schools, theatres, arts organisations to invite their MP, school governors and local press to experience a class, workshop, rehearsal or performance and see how children benefit from it, to hear how it positively impacts them, and how it helps their community.

* Terms & Conditions:
Workshops must take place in the week of 20-27 March 2024 as part of the DTEA's Seize The Day campaign. Schools, practitioners and Theatre Workout will all invite their MP, along with governors, local press and representatives to experience the event. Schools must agree to document the event with photography and video in support of the SeizeTheDay campaign with student testemony on the experience. Workshops may include West End, Stratford or Outreach Workshops across the UK. Offer is valid for UK schools only. Workshops must be booked by 21st December 2023.
