Be a Logistical Legend: how plan the perfect theatre visit!

Plan the Perfect Theatre Visit

I've been planning theatre visits for years, and I've had sort other people's mistakes many times!

I've had groups arrive at theatres for a matinee performance when they've booked for the evening show, (which isn't as bad as arriving for the evening when they've booked for the matinee earlier that day).

I've had groups arrive on the wrong date, at the wrong theatre, and I have even had huge groups arrive to see a show for which they haven't even bought tickets!

So, to help you plan the perfect theatre visit, I've written a free report with helpful nuggets of information to make you a legend of your school, social club or company.

In the mean time - here are our Top Ten Tips:

  1. Book as far in advance as possible to get the best available seats and discounts

  2. Weekdays offer the best discounts. Most theatre discounts are available on Monday-Thursday performances with only some discounts on Friday-Sunday shows but never Saturday evenings!

  3. Know your group size. We need to know the maximum total number - it's easier to reduce the group size than increase later on!

  4. Group bookings can normally be reserved for around four weeks. If you miss your payment date your tickets, rooms or tables may be released for sale to other clients, so just talk to us if you need more time.

  5. Not all venues have ample disabled access. If you have any special requirements, vision, hearing or other mobility issues - including wheelchair access, please notify us at the time of booking to get the right seating and advice.

  6. Age restrictions may apply for some activities, so check when booking. Most theatres, for example, do not allow under 5s, none allow under 3s.

  7. If booking groups comprised of couples, please advise at the time of booking to avoid being allocated odd-number rows.

  8. Exclusion dates may apply with some show discounts, such as school holidays. If discounts are not available we'll seek the best available option within your budget.

  9. Theatre Workout quotes will include any booking fees, theatre restoration levy or transaction fees. Theatre Workout will not add surprise fees.

  10. Don’t miss out on the best options and newest shows – follow us on Twitter, Facebook or subscribe to our newsletter for the latest information.
