About the show
"Our age, you have to show no fear to Death, it’s like bulls, you can’t run away or they’ll charge"
Hazel and Robin have survived a catastrophe. Living on the edge of a radiation exclusion zone, Hazel still practices her yoga and Robin’s brewing parsnip wine. They are trying to keep going, clinging onto normality.
That is until their old friend Rose knocks on the door. With her she brings old memories, buried secrets - and a proposition. One which tests their loyalty and forces them to confront their debt to the next generation.
With enormous thanks to Mark & Sarah Crosbie for their generous support of this production.
"The Children consolidates my view that Kirkwood is the most rewarding dramatist of her generation” The Independent on the 2016 production
