Devising Physical Theatre

This workshop is designed for Drama teachers, directors, actors and other Drama and Theatre professionals, to provide a basic understanding of various devising and physical theatre techniques, including: 

• Image theatre for younger and inexperienced children and young people, to explore storytelling, create characters, and explore emotions. 
• Creating movement, self-expression, choreography and connections in response to stimuli
• Exploring physicality, collaborative movement, interraction, and discovering stories and relationships within
• Developing performance

The session will teach a broad range of tried and tested techniques, inpirired by the work of practitioners including Artaud, Grotowski, Frantic Assembly, Complicite, Jacques Lecoq, and more. Techniques will provide a strong foundation on which students can devise performence, discover stories, listen and work collaboratively.
