Comedy About A Bank Robbery

This workshop explores various devising and physical theatre techniques used by companies when creating original comic productions, such as this.

 

The workshop focuses on improvisation, character development, clowning, slapstick and storytelling as students devise comic scenarios which, typically, go wrong! 

Disney's Lion King

Developed in collaboration with the show's creative team, Theatre Workout Education was licensed by Disney to run official workshops for the show from 2008-2015. 

 

We recommend our Physical Theatre workshop which may include:  

  • Physical theatre and movement techniques inspired by Jacques Lecoq, Artaud and Balinese dance

  • Image and forum theatre exercises

  • Voice, speech and the use of sound in performance

Les Miserables

Two bespoke masterclasses have been developed by Theatre Workout Education for groups going to see Les Miserables.

 

Acting workshops are ideal for all groups and feature carefully selected acting exercises to explore the characters, themes and genre of this long-running production.

 

Musical Theatre workshops feature material from the show and all-round musical theatre technique and are focused on acting though song.

Mamma Mia

A Musical Theatre masterclass which focuses on a combination of acting and singing technique using material from the show. It is a perfect workshop for drama students, with a more drama-focused option for less experienced groups.

Matilda

This workshop covers all the bases from Storytelling and drama games to Devising and Musical Theatre. It is ideal for groups of all ages as a creative and entertaining workshop experience.

 

Each workshop explores the shows central themes and characters through performance exercises and has plenty to offer any group.

The Phantom of the Opera

Chose from either an Acting or Musical Theatre masterclass for your workshop. Each workshop uses theatre and performance techniques to explore the central characters and themes from the show, such as unrequited love, passion and obsession.

From humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner didn’t just break the rules, she rewrote them. This new stage musical reveals the untold story of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender and race.

The Woman In Black

Combining techniques from our Acting and Storytelling masterclasses, this workshop explores the genre of the play through its back-to-basics performance style, with students creating performance inspired by key lines, scenes and characters from the show.
